
Ronan Higgins - PGA Professional
Golf Station is a new coaching and practice facility situated in the former Ardrahan Railway Station in Co. Galway. Ronan Higgins is the PGA professional at Golf Station, he has gained experience at all levels of competition and golf coaching in his career. Ronan began playing golf at Gort Golf Club and was part of the Connaught G.U.I Kenny Cup winning team in 2009. He attended the Darren Clarke Golf Academy in 2012 to improve his skills before travelling to the U.S.A on scholarship to compete at the collegiate level. While there he achieved 3rd place individual stroke play at regional qualifying and was part of the regional winning team that qualified for the national championships in Alabama 2015. Upon return from the U.S.A, he enrolled in the PGA Professional Golf Management training programme at the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom. The training programme incorporated an apprenticeship with Head Professional Nigel Howley PGA at Balbriggan Golf Club where Ronan learned his trade and developed his skills as a golf coach, custom fitter and club builder. Ronan has since completed his degree at the University of Birmingham and is seeking to continue playing competitive golf on the professional circuit while providing high quality practice facilities, golf coaching and repair services to his clients.
